The 16th of January 2018 saw the issuance of a broad range of amendments to Companies Law No. 159 of 1981. The amendment covers a number of significant issues, including the addition of a new form of company that the law calls the ‘one-person company’, and several other significant amendments to the rules concerning company establishment, shareholder agreements, the evaluation of in-kind contributions to capital, the regulation of preferential shares, treasury shares, cumulative voting, and dispute resolution.
