Dina El Husseiny
Dina is a qualified lawyer both in Egypt (2006) and the State of New York (2014). She holds an LL.M from the University of California, Los Angeles (2010), and a Bachelors in Law from Cairo University’s Faculty of Law – English Section (2005). Dina has extensive experience as a commercial lawyer, gained through years of private practice in Egypt as well as abroad. Before joining Thebes Consultancy in August 2016, Dina worked with the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (Cairo, 2015), and at Bank Information Center (Washington, DC 2014 – 2015). Prior to that, she held the position of Associate at Baker & McKenzie’s Cairo office (2012 – 2014) where the focus of her work was on providing commercial legal advice to local and foreign corporations wishing to operate in Egypt. From 2011 to 2012, Dina worked with the Legal Transition Team at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (London) on assessments of the commercial laws of Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Jordan, at the backdrop of the Bank’s expansion of its operations into the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region. From 2006 – 2009 she was junior associate at DLA Matouk Bassiouny, then the Egyptian affiliate of DLA Piper, where she worked on general corporate and commercial law matters. Arabic is Dina’s native language, and she is fully fluent in English.
